Complexity serves only to confuse and obfuscate—to create an exclusionary play-space for the pedagogue to flex and pump his ego. The hallmark of true mastery, however—of expertise in any art—is not the ability to resist the propagation of knowledge, but instead a command of the understanding necessary to pare one’s art down into a teachable science.
Every good logician or engineer knows that the simpler the system, the more effective it’ll be. In other words:
Speak plainly for better comprehension.
